There's some discrepancy about what is actually said, but you can watch and read the captioning. It was about his daughter, though. And it was Albuquerque, not Alabama. Sorry!
*Also, it must be said--this is a general consensus about what went down between Sawyer & Kate. The producers haven't verified this, so take it for what you will.
And...
for the truly dorky...
Go here to read a very interesting theory about the "dead" people who keep appearing on and off island, such as Yemi (Eko's brother), Charlie, etc. It also explains a bit about the whispers, which we've been hearing since Season 1.
Man, I love this stuff!

Thanks Lula....:) You're the best.
So... in the three years Kate has been off the island... she hasn't located Clementine yet? Granted, she has been a bit busy, what with the trial and all. But it hasn't been shown yet if she has made any attempt...
Excellent point Shannon.
I think the whispers are the folks on the island who are time-jumping...Sawyer, Juliet, Dan, Charlotte...and so forth.
I thought before the premiere that Jacob was supposed to be possessing the dead folk on the islan (ie: Christian, Charlie, Boone, Locke, Yemi etc.) because he has no body. But NOW, oh yes, now, I think that it really could be the record skipping effect. OMG. So obsessed. I think Sawyer said something about Clementine. Perhaps Cassidy had to go into hiding because being sought after by Widdy or Benny? Maybe that's why Kate can't find em? Okay, that's my random a 2 cents.
Oh mi gosh...
wait, i thought that in one of the episodes from last season where we find out that Jack and Kate live together, she was out doing "him" a favor. I always thought that whatever it was was for Sawyer.
Oh gosh. I'm confused about so much about this show...but atleast glad to know what Sawyer whispered to Kate...
